Ian is an independent property insurance adjuster for Comsearch’s property department. Over his 12+ years working with us, he has earned certifications in both Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD)

What do you love about working in your industry?

“I enjoy that I not only provide a service to the different carriers we represent in the claims process, but that I’m also able to bring a resolution for all parties involved.”

What is it like to work for Comsearch?

Comsearch feels like a family atmosphere. If I come across an issue or something that I haven’t had experience handling, my manager or co-workers are more than happy to provide a different perspective on how to get the issue handled.”

How would you describe your day to day at Comsearch?

“It truly is different as each day goes. One day could be filled with water mitigation and restoration claims and the next dealing with municipalities or utility companies for guardrail or utility facility damages.”

What’s something you miss about being in the office?

The camaraderie at the office is easily the biggest thing I miss. The in-office holiday parties or summer cookouts were a nice way to talk to and learn from co-workers about more than just “work.”

What TV show are you currently binging?

“Currently “Startup” on Netflix has been me and my wife’s secret obsession.”

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?

“Golf, the beach, trying to run with my wife and our dog Chloe, and a new found affinity for Cornhole.”

Before COVID-19 where was your favorite place to take a client out for lunch?

“The Square Peg in Warren, Rhode Island.”

What’s a fun fact your employees might not know about you?

“Through all of the craziness of this last year, I’ve been working on a podcast. Where it goes, who knows, but the process to get it going has been quite fun and enjoyable.”

What was your first job?

“I had the luck of having two first jobs: a paper route and bussing for my father’s restaurant in Connecticut.”
