Employee Spotlight: Mark Valcourt

Mark Valcourt has an eye for damage. In two of his former lives, he was a body-shop manager and a paint, body and equipment sales rep. In fact, he has spent his working life – four decades’ worth – preparing to excel in his position as Manager of Procheck Auto.

1. How long have you been working at Comsearch?

I started my career at Comsearch Inc. in May of 2001, 20 years and counting. 

2. What do you enjoy about this industry?

Growing up I really enjoyed auto racing, and I gravitated to autos as a profession, starting in the auto  body industry for many years.  Since beginning at Comsearch, I have been able to teach what I know to my team.  

Working for a leader in this industry has allowed me the opportunity to meet many industry professionals and gain different insight.  

3. What is your favorite part about working for Comsearch?

Every day is a new beginning, new challenges and new opportunities to grow, I always live by the saying  “you should learn something new every day”  

4. What do you miss the most while working remote?

I really miss the interaction with the great team that we have, seeing familiar faces, and sharing a smile.

5. What TV show are you currently binging?  

Bar Rescue with Jon Taffer, he teaches people how to succeed in business, that is if they want to learn. 

6. When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?

Dining out, spending time with friends, lounging by the pool  

7. What’s a fun fact your employees might not know about you?  

In 1977 I drove a Salvation Army canteen truck to Johnstown PA. to serve workers after a devastating flood.

8. What was your first job?

My first job was ringing a bell at local department stores during the Christmas season for the Salvation Army.
