Employee Spotlight: Sam Burns

1. How long have you been working at Comsearch?  

I began at Comsearch in procheck auto during the fall of 2008, then I worked in claims processing for a few years before transitioning to subro where I have been for over ten years

 

2. What do you love about working in your industry? 

I enjoy interacting with insurance carriers while working on adverse subrogation files. I take pride in thoroughly reviewing a demand and finding a fair compromise / agreement for both parties 

 

3. What is it like to work for Comsearch?  

Comsearch provides a flexible schedule when needed (which is especially helpful for myself as a single mother)

 

4. What is something you find unique about Comsearch?  

Comsearch does work that very few other companies do and we have been at the top for years

 

5. How would you describe your day to day at Comsearch?  

no two days are ever the same, the claims and companies are always different

 

6. What’s something you miss about being in the office?  

I miss talking to coworkers, discussing nail biting sports events, and being able to ask quick questions of a neighbor or manager

 

7. What TV show are you currently binging?  

Santa Clarita Diet

 

8. When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?  

I love to learn, to be outside, to eat, to sing, walk, spend time with my son and my family, and listen to music 

 

9. Before COVID-19 where was your favorite place to take a client out for lunch?

Pre COVID I enjoyed grabbing a meal from Johnson’s roadside market. These days I am a enjoying a new to town establishment – Waterdog Kitchen+Bar.

 

10. What’s a fun fact your employees might not know about you?  

My first car was a 5-speed and at first I hated it but grew to LOVE it

 

11. What was your first job?  

Bagels, Etc in Barrington, RI which is a town over from Comsearch headquarters
