Employee Spotlight: Ben Goldsmith

Meet Ben!

1. How long have you been working at Comsearch?

4 years.

2. What do you love about working in your industry?

Alleviating problems that are causing people distress and frustration that they have no idea how to solve.

3. What is it like to work for Comsearch?

I appreciate all the different personalities we work with here. Even though very few people are in the office these
days, assisting people over the phone while remotely fixing their issue makes it more personable and refills the
human interaction meter!

4. What is something you find unique about Comsearch?

The feel of a private, smaller company, with elements of a larger public company. It’s a cool mix.

5. How would you describe your day to day at Comsearch?

Various administrative tasks to keep records current across multiple systems, inventory maintenance, working on
ticket that almost always contain something new and unusual!

6. What’s something you miss about being in the office?

The weekend doesn’t last long enough for me to miss the office, as I am there every day during the week. One
thing I miss about everyone else being in the office is when there was some kind of event and everyone would
gather in the break room to receive their lunch plates.

7. What TV show are you currently binging?

Old Bob Barker era Price Is Right episodes on Pluto TV, and The PP Show on YouTube.

8. When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?

Currently, I spend my non-work time repairing, demolishing, building, installing, painting things at the house my
wife and I just moved into at the end of November. We sold the house in RI and have moved back to MA, but there
is a lot of work to be done. I am utterly exhausted!

9. Before COVID-19 where was your favorite place to take a client out for lunch?

I particularly enjoyed Sakura in South Attleboro. Aside from the great Japanese food and Sake, the oddly disfigured
Mickey Mouse mask the staff would wear to sing “Happy Birthday” to customers was actual comedy gold.

10. What’s a fun fact your coworkers might not know about you?

I play guitar, used to have long hair, and was in numerous metal bands; one of which was Iron Mullet (an Iron
Maiden tribute band).

11. What was your first job?

Trap operator at an outdoor skeet shooting facility in England.
